carbon fibre interior
hi, ive just had my dash bits back from carbonconnection.co.uk, they have skinned them in real carbon fibre as my centre console was looking a bit scruffy.
well chuffed the finish, detail, service and commuincation is unreal.
thanks phil for the hard work

its expensive with the materials and alot of man hours but the glass like finish and detail phil puts in to his work is art.
if you go on www.carbonconnections.co.uk for more details.
best mod i have ever had done,
cheers

hi guys first post but thought id add something here. im gonna try wrapping in carbon fibre vinyl. then spraying with clear laquer, fine sandpaper wet sand then lacquet etc.. till good finish. i figure this would give you the same effect as skinning for basically £20 and a few hours of my time. not as perfectionist as yours though with the real carbon but im skint lol. will post pics when ive done it.
looks fab by the way!

hi guys finished the tester. bad news and good news though. one or two coats gives a nice sheen to the viynl wrap BUT doesn't look like real carbon fibre ie not smooth like glass. i suppose it would stop the vinyl from unwrapping if around a heater say and give nice shine but not as id hoped.
bad news i gave it another 2-3 coats and its lost the two tone look of the carbon vinyl hard to make out on the pictures but you can see its carbon vinly but only at certain angles and its lost the two tone.
so if your gonna try this only give it 1-2 light coats id say any more and it just goes dark. hope this helps someone lol!
erm........ when i work out how the hell to put pictures on ill do it lol
