lamco oil pressure gauge query
Just fitting up a lamco set I've acquired and wonder if anyone has experience of the gauge or can answer this question.
The fitting instructions are that the sensor replaces the oil warning switch,
The gauge pack comes with a black box which stops an engine fault showing due to removal of the switch, with a connector which goes to the original wire to the warning switch. Does the oil warning light stop working and does the new gauge have a warning, or does the black box thingy make sure that the original oil warning light continues to operate despite the warning switch having been removed. Don't fancy driving without a warning light as well as gauge.
Hope this makes sense.

you need a t piece mate , you can get them on ebay, best get the one with a length of braided hose it helps when fitting because the t piece will foul on something ,cant remember what, but anyway you then still have your switch.
