Following Chiarks instructions, removed 2 screws and pull backwards??

How can you pull backwards? Do I have to pull forwards, or push backwards on the locking catch bar?

I've tugged and shoved, won't budge

Question

Mega,

What did you hold onto to pull it out? (missus )

I've got to do this soon and wondered where you actually hold it to be able to pull

I got hold of the metal bar that the lid latch catches on.
Pulled and pulled then the buggering thing came off, my thumb slipped into the air vent slate and bent me thumbnail back

I want my mummy

Now the fun starts trying to fit up the control unit...

I put a duster through the metal latch so that I got a better grip and then pulled from the back as well once I had enough space to get my fingers in. Wasn't too bad to do and I still have all my nails
