Default Boost gauge replacement

Hi,
I bought my 99 impreza last year with a pre-installed gauge pod on the dash housing 3 gauges, one of my gauges has broken so i have decided to replace all 3 of them with the same style. I am not sure what type of boost pressure gauge i need though, the current one has what looks like a dump valve behind it with electrical wires leading from it to the gauge and a tube leading from it into the engine bay. Any advice would be appreciated as to what type to buy or any smart looking gauges available. Thanks

Luke

Well, you can fit any type you like, although most people tend to buy electrical gauges these days as it's FAR easier running wires than tubing, especially under a modern, crowded dash

Have you looked at Defis?

Not sure that the white faced ones are still available to suit a MY99 car, but e-bay is your friend

Yours is a mechanical guage, so the pipe from the engine is powering the needle by air pressure rather than an electrical reading. I've never like them, and the electrical gauges are much easier to install. But as you have the pipe already in the engine bay, either of them will be easy to use as replacement.
