Leaky Sunroof/Boot.!!!!!!
Hi..... Just a quick question, When ever it rains I get water leaking onto the drivers seat from the sunroof. The seal looks fine and I cleared out the drain holes but this hasn't changed anything.!!!! Then I was cleaning the car and noticed that the spare wheel well was half full of water as well.!!!!
Question 1: Do you think that the two are related???
Question 2: Can you still get sunroof/boot seals from Subaru???
Any help would be really appreciated...... John G
P.S The car is a 1995 Uk Turbo Wagon......... Cheers

Donno abt the sunroof, mine doesn't have one.............or aircon
The boot is likely to be a light housing seal gone. They are a sort of non-setting mastic, and over time they go a bit hard, dirt works it's way in and the seal is US.
Pull the trim away from both rear lights. Aim your hose in that general area, then open the boot and have a look. You can usually see it leaking down the light from the top.
Solution is to remove light unit, (6 nuts, and BRUTE force to get it off the remaining seal). Remove old seal, and replace with new, I use non-setting mastic from a caravan dealer, about £6 a tube, fits in a standard mastic gun.
DON'T use silicone, puri-flex etc, unless you never plan on getting the light out again. And be assured that if you do, it'll NEED to come out next week

Like alcazar says, it'll be the lights leaking. FOr some reason, the passenger side seems to be the culprit way more than half the time.
I had my MY00 sorted under warranty, and it was a sod to get the unit out apparently. Reseal with non-setting stuff and you're laughing.
