Unhappy

well not sure about your car, but I had this problem with my STI8. The entire rear window had to be taken out as the sealant (whatever they use) became lose or something. Any this was rather suprising for a brand new car but the problem seems to have been fixed after they sealed it again (yes it leaked into the boot).

Good luck.

The usual suspects are the rear light seals or the holes in the boot where the spoiler fits.

Got the same problem in MY98. Thought I'd sorted it by re-sealing the light last year but the water is back! Now for checking the spoiler bolts!!

nice! sounds annoying/expensive/both. still has the original window, so maybe it's the spoiler?

Exactly the same problem. My rear light is flooded and the boot is like a swimming pool.

Yeah, every winter there are a few threads like this, mine included last year! Could have kept a fish in the spare wheel well, and the jack hole was flooded!
Sure enough, removing and resealing the nearside light cluster fixed it.

i'm pretty sure it's coming from the top of the boot, about half way along the side seals coz there are two wet patches under there. if it was the window or the lights wouldn't the whole carpet be wet?
Any risk of rust problems from this?
