Thanks for that! They do look pretty good. But has anyone had them fitted and can comment on how they look in the flesh?

Hi,

Anyone got some decent kick plates? I've seen pictures of some but they don't really impress. Forgive me for saying this, but I had (many moons ago!) a Rover 220GSi which had VERY nice kick plates (or tread plates as some folk call them).

David,

I have some fitted to my car, 4 door set, in polished st. steel with Impreza etched on them.

I think they look good (IMHO) and they tidy the sill up no-end.

Bought mine from Revolution in Newcastle.

I Have not got any pics I'm afraid.

Muddy.

How do they fit on ? Stuck on, screwed on ?
Do you remove the standard plastic crap first ?

All very interesting guys - and a good question from Tony: how do they fit, stick on or replace?

The Nito ones don't look half bad, but at £100 they ain't cheap. Muddy - what about yours? How much were they and do Revolution do mail order?

Unless anyone else has other ideas, it's looking like a toss of a coin between Nito and Revolution.

Exclamation

Give Nito a call or drop him an email. I'm sure he could do you a deal with some other bits he has for sale, as well as telling you how they fit to the car!

Cool

Hi guys,

They cover the existing plastic ones and are held by a retaining allen head self tapper at either end. The screw goes into the oe plastic panels.

Cannot remember the price sorry, sure they were cheaper than £100.

Mine don't have those stupid Black plastic sides on them, IMHO , they spoil the "look".

Unfortunatley they do stick on but they have been on for over 6 months and they are still stuck on "SOLID".

Revolution do do Mail order, Visa, etc etc.

Give Them a call !!!.

Thanks Guys - I have today ordered kick plates from Revolution in Newcastle (cheers Muddy!) for an all-in delivery price of £62.

They should be here next week. I'll post my views on the quality/appearance.

NB: Helpful chap at Revolution. He happened to mention they've just developed their own specialist downpipe, a twin fall version, for about £160. I've got the (much more expensive!) Scoobysport downpipe, but thought I'd mention it if anyone's interested.

I believe downpipe should be ready for general sale next month, Glen is testing it on his car at the moment and is putting the car through a before and after rolling road session.
He has also developed the rest of the system to go with the downpipe, I have seen it, the prototype version and it looks great, I've got my name down to get the lot!!!.

And it will be one of the cheapest on the market, which is good for my pocket.

I will update people when it is all sorted because Glen has not got the website running yet and does not have access to Scoobynet.

Well guys, said I'd post once I'd got the Lockwood kick plates (via Revolution in Newcastle) fitted.

I must record I'm VERY pleased. Easy to fit and look VERY nice.

For £62 including postage, they're an absolute bargain.

Criticism? Not really - they stick on over the existing plastic; they *almost* cover the orginals. They tend to look as though they're a part of the design.

Thanks for the tip, Muddy!
