Hi guys. I have am MY99 and have done the dash conversion but am having a heap of hassles trying to get the globes out of the HVAC. I have removed the 4 screws that hold it in but cant seem to pull it out very far due to the cables. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

Just wondering what you did with the needles as I find these very hard to see with the blue bulbs???
Am considering painting my needles Luminous white so the give a bit of a glow at night.

White now why didn't I think of that when I started this all off
For those of you that have the new age scoobs with the 5mm bulbs I'm evaluating the small bulbs at the moment.

Huxley its not just the new age that has the 5mm bulbs, all the newer classics have them too, with the exception of one 10mm bulb

As Sonic found out ! Fingers crossed mate, you'll finally get your bulbs. Seems some of the last few classic shapes got the revised dashboards interiors before the bug-eyes came out... typical Subaru.

Thanks Paul
Here is the MY00 Instrument cluster
The Blue holders are for the instrument display, and the large black one on the right
Here are the 3 bulb holders & bulbs that are used for the display
The large Blue bulb & holder is the only 10mm holder on the cluster, this is for the petrol gauge side
The Blue Bulb holder is the main lighting one, and there are 4 of these, they wont take the 10mm bulbs, and they wont fit through the hole either
The small black bulb holder are for the indicators/main beam/warning lights and the clock illumination
edited to add, the heater controls are the same small 5/6mm bulbs and holders too
Cheers

On the white needles thing, I must be lucky cos mine are white. MY97 UK Sport. They reflect the blue lights so are easily seen. Only pro0blem is that I have a white dial kit to fit and I probably wont be able to see them once I've done them.
