Can a boost gauge be inspected, ie open it up and replace parts?

If yes, who offers this service?

Also where can I buy a restrictor to go within the vacuum tubing for the boost?

Its for a Lamco Boost Gauge.

Wink

I would think for the price of a gauge you are better off buying a new one mate.

Unless it is a top of the range Defi..

Time to get out some catalogues?

You can't get it apart - it will trash it in the process.

I'll look at the restrictor in one of ours tonight - if I recall properly it is part of a plastic joint in the pipe about 150mm from the manifold end of the rubber pipe.

Where exactly did you tee the gauge rubber pipe into?

Contacted Roger Clarke Motorsport and they advised me it requires a restrictor to go within the tubing.

Without the restrictor the needle will have a slight shake and make a humming sound.

Hopefully that will sort it out.

Will keep u guys updated of the outcome.

I have an HKS mechanical boost gauge that makes a buzzzz noise when the boost increases quickly.
Should I have a restrictor too?

Thanks
Steve
