I have rattle on the tailgate on my 5 door STI . it appears to be on the lock bar that holds the tail down. tape holds it there for a while but it wersaway.if I put too much on the interior light stays on. I have driven a Ver 6 which has the same problem but my Ver 4 didn,t.
anyone got any clues?

Yep Tony I had this on my wagon. If you remove the plastic moulding from around the "locking bar" you will see the bar is held to the bodywork by two screws. These are adjusable so when loosened you can slide the bar forward maybe even up to a half inch. If you play around with this adjustment, everything should tighten up nicely and no more rattles.

Worked for me and I found this out from some helpful chaps on the BBS!
