Default Lad passed his test yesterday...drive today (Moley)

Hi

The lad passed his test yesterday he is insured to drive our 1.2 Clio, all kosher via Moley on here.

I have phoned Keith Michaels this morning but they are closed (we all need our weekends)

The question is can he drive the car even though I haven't told Moley ?

I'd have to tear him away from his computer

As an aside, when I renewed the Clio insurance with yourself, you sent the certificate which I checked and then just filed it away.........didn't read the bit about sending in copies of driving licences etc. Sorry, my fault.

Could you advise your colleague Carrie that I put the signed papers, copy of the wife's driving licence, copy of the lads pass certificate (he had to surrender his licence yesterday at the test centre) in the post yesterday evening. I will hunt mine down and send a copy under a seperate cover.

Just curious as to why you need to see our driving licences and will invalidate our insurance if you don't. Surely that info is held by the DVLA?

Cheers

As of yet the system isn't in place to check with the DLVA, supposed to be done by 2015 apparently.

Unfortunately pretty much all insurers we use ask for copy licences nowadays, as a way of checking convictions, correct address etc

Hi Gary, thanks for taking the time to reply.

That does surprise me, all the cop shows I watch seem to have access to the DVLA. I once hired a car from Enterprise without a driving licence, all they did was check with the DVLA.

I found my licence and will send you a copy, it had fallen down back of the drawer where we keep the passports etc.

Got the renewal for the insurance for the Citroen C4 through the post this morning.......damn good price

Cheers

Hi Gary

Thanks for sorting out the payment for the Citroen....much appreciated as always

Sorry I didn't have time to chat as I was just about to run over to the main hospital to run a clinic with a colleague......... interestingly the said colleague has run two classics and a Hawkeye and is looking at getting an AMG A45

http://www2.mercedes-benz.co.uk/cont...amg.flash.html

Just out of curiosity how much would that cost to insure against my modified Bug if I got one?

Cheers

With your current insurer it'd be approx £150 extra, but we'd have other insurers who'd do it as a similar price to the Impreza policy
