Yep, I got my renewal thru' from Privilege and they wanted £640-ish with about the same for the Excess. I'd also tried Tescos but they were wanting £840. Checked around everywhere and it seemed to be about the best I was able to get until I noticed someone on here mentioning Liverpool Victoria/Frizzell. I decided I'd give them a quick ring to see and they also came out at £630-ish.

The excess on it was only £300 though, when speaking to the woman there she said if you up the excess it will make a difference to the policy, upped it to the maximum £450 (still cheaper excess than I was getting quoted anywhere else) and the premium is now £532, wasn't too bad I thought. Needless to say I bought it over the phone straight away ;-) Details below.

AB postcode
Me - 28, wife 26
Claim 1999 - non fault £650 damage
MY94 UK Turbo 5dr - Dawes Device, Boost gauge, Falkland downpipe, Magnex decat centre and 6x4" backbox, K&N Filter, 17" alloys, EBC disks and Redstuff pads.

Do frizzells do imports?

Looking for good quotes on an 98 Sti.
24yrs old, 7years NCB. no claims but a few points ( 4 years ago in Dec. )

I'm 25 in september.. so if it becomes alot cheaper I may wait, but everyone I talk to have different opinions - ranging from "it wont make any difference" to "its worth 30% off".

Dad is a CSMA member, do they do family discount ?

Family member of the CSMA members can join. The CSMA has just changed it rules in regard to this. Ring 'em and ask

Wooooopeeeeeee!

The cheapest quote by miles was Lloyds TSB @ £589 when I bought my car 2 months ago. I must have phoned and performed a dozen online quotes. Most came up with approx £900 - £1100.

Just phoned Frizzell and got a quote of £480 with £400 excess and only £19 extra if I change the alloys and add a new exhaust and airfilter. Unlimited mileage and protected NCB.

got to agree, liverpool victoria/frizzels

previously insured with privelige, had a claim with priv.... when the wife wrote car off.(loads of chew getting them to cough up).

went to tesco (cheapest at time because of losing ncd and having had a claim on my policy for £21000)since had lots of paperwork problems. they lost certificate for alarm immobiliser and when i changed my reg plate(11 months into policy) they decided to inform me that i also needed a tracker and wasn't and hadn't been insured for theft for the last 11 months. THE PREMIUM WAS £1300. i was pi$$ed off.
ive since got insured with liverpool victoria and am over the moon.
£897. its finally going down

the paper work was delivered the very next morning and everything was correct. great so far.
give them a try.

Frizzell rocks! Just got £1750 parked on street in london with telly job and a fun exhaust! This actually beats current insurer's premium, who were by far the best last year! No security needed - at all!!!!!!!!!

Interestingly quote went down £70 by adding the girlfriend (dont tell her she's on it though!)

Frizzells wouldnt even quote me! She wouldnt give me a reason, just said i wasnt eligible!
I am 27 with a clean licence and full no claims, and also live in the middle of nowhere.
The only reasonable quote i got without having to put tracker on the car was with CIS,and they want £1000!

Not impressed with the service either, the Guy on the phone was a muppet and they were more than £300 more expensive than Privilege and they didnt include business mileage,BUT i do live in Liverpool
so what more can i say(Might as well start taking my trousers down now for my next renewal)
