Default Insurance advice/am i going to beat this price?

Ive got a quote of £1100 from admiral (confused online) on a standard 2005 impreza STI type uk. im 23, 6 years no claims, clean license, good postcode.
Question is, before i sit down and spend a lot of time on the phone, does anyone believe that i'll get a better price than this?
10th september my current insurance runs out and im free to hunt down an impreza finally!
Thanks
Ben

I think you need a years experience in awd car to get a better price with a specialist and be 25 or over.

My renewal came through non-specialist at £900 for my STI ,9 year no claims decent postcode all clean and I'm 40 so £1100 doesn't sound that bad in comparison.

I personally don't think you will, mainly for your age. But if you can save some more on those quotes, an afternoon on the phone is small consequence.

I paid £1000 with Admiral when i first got my 03 STI. That was two years ago, i was 25 and had 5 years NCB

Given the recent hikes it seems like a pretty good price to me
