Default 1 days Insurance and then cover for a 500bhp newage

hi guys

My Subaru is coming out of storage and needs to be taken up to RCM for a new engine etc etc onTuesday so i need a day’s cover.

Which leads me to the next question, who will be the best for insuring a 500bhp hawkeye, how much would be declare the car to be worth (adding the cost of the car and the cost of the work would not really give an idea of market value), and any other tips

thanks guys

Hi,

you'll struggle if you are looking for 1 days temporay insurance as most/all companies that offer this will only do so for standard UK cars.

With regards to the value, the best way to look at this is how much the car would sell for, including modifications, to a like minded car enthusiast. Obviously what you have spent/bought the car for is going to a lot more than the car would sell for.

My company can look at a full 12 month policy for you when the new engine is in.

Yes, no problem at all but make this very clear to the insurer.

Speak to Gary @ Keith Michaels.

As for getting the car there, why not just hire a transporter/trailer?
