Just got mine from A Plan and the quote is £170 more than I paid last year (standard 2001 WRX).

Phoned them up and was told that they were not quoting under £400 for performance cars - told them "bye bye."

Seems standard practice for A Plan is to increase premiums by around £150 each year with no change in any policy details

They did the same to me last time round but after a few phone calls they knocked a wedge off so i stayed put due to the like for like cover on my reasonably long list of mods

Hi guys,

I appreciate renewals may be chopping and changing for some of you. We are doing our best to keep premiums down, but the market is generally going up, and schemes are changing all the time.

We will only do our best to keep policies down as much as we can, we are on your side, otherwise we wouldn't be in business! If there are any individual issues you have please contact me, personally, and I will try my best to assist/re direct you appropriately.

We are only human at the end of the day, and I'm sure that a majority of you will understand that, and will keep trying us for a competitive quote. If you have left us this year, we hope you will have been pleased with our service and call us next renewal.

Any problems please PM me or call me in the office.

Regards

Chris

a plan quoted me about 10 pounds more on my policy 2 weeks ago than last year and moley unfortunately was about 50 pounds over this 594 against 549 and had no room to negotiate a discount tried adrian flux who i have used in the past and they were 10 pounds cheaper at 538 than aplan then said to a plan match that and they did so i stayed with them...job done
