Default Declaring mods...

Hello,

Now that I am with a reasonable insurer, for once I have declared my modifications (tesco had tried to charge £250, so the car was standard ). Admiral have said that in the event of a claim they will not pay for the modifications themselves. This is fine if I crash myself - BUT if someone piles into the back of me and kills my £450 exhaust, can I claim it on their insurance as part of the personal/uninsured loss?

Admiral were fkin useless for me mate, it may be worth shopping around a little more to see if someone with a clue can offer you the same deal.

IMHO you will need to be very careful if you do not declare your mods...........it won't take a lot for the insurers to tell you the insurance is null and void when you want to make a claim

Read it again... I have declared the current mods... The non-disclosure was with tesco's on my old scoob and i made a big claim at the time too, with no problems.

fitz: i tried shopping around but most places were coming out at well over £2k. Admiral are £1200

Read it again, misunderstood the first time.

However, the warning goes for anyone that doesn't declare their mods
