Thumbs up Thumbs up to elephant!

Just thought I would mention that Elephant managed to give me my best quote this year for my 53 Plate WRX STi TypeUK.

Even added the Mrs (26) with very little impact to the premium......is that good or bad?!?!

Thanks to A-Plan for a good quote though, they were the best until I tried to add the Mrs, and the £500 excess was quite a bit more. Elephant only wanted £350 excess.

Elephant for me aswell!

Most quotes were 5k+, porsche insurance wanted 7k.

Tried elephant, £1328 Fully Comp (£350 Excess)

25 with 7 years no claims, no points, 911 Turbo, Garaged, 12k a year, tracker.

I tried to stick the value in at 71k, but they have a 70k house limit, so had to go for 69k, which I guess will be fine anyway considering dealer margins etc.

I've been stung by instalments a few times, now I slap it all on a credit card, then pay the credit card off.

Don't suppose they are any worse than any other insurance company. I have been with Elephant and Admiral (same company) twice before without any problems. (Although never had to claim with them...and hope I don't have to either! )

Have heard horror stories from most insurance companies at some point or another. Can't please all the people all the time eh?

and then whack 30% on for installments.
Paid the whole lot in one go so installments wasn't a problem for me.

I've been with Elephant for two years now and they've been quite good. Its time to renew next month and Admiral are the cheapest so far £522 with mods!!! Had this last year and Elephant said they would match it, so watch this space. I know they are the same company (also Bell Direct) so I don't understand it, then again its insurance and you are not supposed to.

Woooah, elephant have just given me a quote of £1319 for a 99 Turbo 5dr. That's almost as bad as eSure @ £1339.

Privilige still the best at less than half those: £519. Might be forced to go with NUnion if they don't give me the money back on the existing policy i have with them. Let's see...

I had a good quote from Privelege, but the description of the car wasn't quite right even though I entered my Reg. No.

Once I changed the car details to the right model it almost doubled the premium!

Beware! If the car details aren't right it might give them the opportunity to get out of a claim!

it has a TSL 333 pack on but they dont know the diff i hope, looks the same and for some reason when i gave them the reg it came up as a prodrive one but i dont know how as its never had it, strange??

never mind deal was good

As a Scooby owner and having worked in insurance for 26 years (sad I know), do ensure that you do advise insurers of ALL modifications - any modification that insurers are not advised of means that they can decline the claim - unfortunately from experience I have seen claims declined too many times frequently because insurers haven't been given the full information or as we call it in the trade "all the material facts" !.

Best thing about elephant(apart from being the absolute cheapest around for me) is the fact they "mirror" you bonus if you have more than one car

And Fozzie, it knocked nearly £400 off my quote by adding Sue to the policy But hey.
