Question Am I doing something wrong..?

Hi all..!

I must be doing something wrong after reading all these other quotes that people are getting. Here are mty details...

2003 WRX (UK car)
No mods or possibly a WRSport backbox (depends on quote)
TOTALLY as it comes from Subaru
Kept on a driveway at night
NO points, not ever at all..!
No accidents ~ full NCB
Used for SD&P & commute 3 miles each way to work (secure car park, car right outside the window)
CT17 postcode (Dover)
Mileage up to 9000 p.a.
Just me to drive (age 32, Brit since I was born) and I have regular use of another car that I own too.
I want protected no claims bonus.

Aplan are coming out around £789 w/£350 xs (WRSport b/box)
L&V are around £790 w/£500 xs

And everyone else is £££more.
Am I doing something wrong here or can someone please tell me how to get my premium down...? I'd be a lot happier around £55 per month after a deposit around the £100 mark.

Please help me, I REALLY don't want to move the Scoob on for one of those hideous looking Fabia Vrsrsrs things.

I hope it's nothing to do with the immigrant problem we used to have in Dover...
I live in a quiet part of Dover, almost in the sticks. Not been a single bit of car crime in my locale since I moved down in September 99 that i know of. Don't seem to get any scallys up this way.

Just had Greenlight get back to me with a decent quote of £727.75 xs/£325 (seems to be good cover too at initial glance).

Anyone in the insurance industry got any tips or is it really cowboy country around here..? I used to live in the South Wales valleys, now that WAS cowboy country..lol!!!

Confused of Dover.

Voodoo,

Try Privilage. I'm swearing by them at the moment as I got an amazing quote off them and I was grinning all night! Infact, it was the lowest quote I've seen on these forums for anyone, on any car! Give em a try. Dont do it online, call em up on: 0845 246 0311.

Let us know how you got on, bad or good...

Clint.
