You can try greenlight, but i dont think they are taking on any new business. Tesco are also very reasonable but not sure how they compare once you have fitted the ppp. Hope this helps

Try Axa through A-plan. (phone A-plan and they will probably find that axa is the best underwriter)

I'm sure I've asked this before but why wont LV insure under 30's on bug/blob eyes but will on classics?

Surely less people crash bugeyes as they're so heavy and slow

I don't know the answer to your question, but I did have the same problem. My best quotes were from Tesco and Direct line. The starting price for a standard car were about the same, but Tesco wouldn't insure modifications, so went with Direct Line and confessed my sins!

I think you have to be over 30 for STi's and Imports with L&V, wrx's (uk type) and turbos you just have to be over 25.

Try Admiral, they know what PPP is!!
You must have been lucky! When I rang them (Admiral being my current insurer) to see what the increase would be, the bloke didn't have a clue!

Maybe they have been educated since then? Hope so, makes life so much easier when they know what you are talking about!

When I was going through Insurance hoops last year Admiral knew what a PPP was but wouldn't insure the car if it had one fitted ... ironically they'd happily insure the car with separates which gave higher BHP ... made me laugh down the phone at them

... and you still haven't answered my original question

Eh? They might know what a "Subaru Impreza STi Prodrive" is, but that's a different kettle of fish. I've spoken to many people at Admiral, even supervisors, not one of them knew what the PPP was, and when I broke it down into component form the supervisor sighed: "We just don't like mods sir..."

PPP and Admiral. It`s now been put on the computer as a modification for STI`s under PPP. The guy asked me if I had PPP on it!!! It made about £100 difference.

Funny that, I phoned Admiral yesterday about having PPP fitted and thay had no idea what it was. 03sti.
They said it would have to be added as a 10-20% power increase from a chip and sports exhaust.
