Question Admiral and trackers

I have managed to get an online quote for a my03 wrx without having a tracker device on my car.

If I take up the policy, will I be asked for one - I thought they were required if you got insured directly with admiral?

Currently insured with admiral through screentrade (a broker) but renewal is almost double what admiral have quoted me direclty, £1200 versus £700.

The mind boggles how insurance company's come up with premiums but I just want to make sure that admiral won't subsequently ask me to fit a tracker should I proceed with the quote.

Any advice/help appreciated.

I'd say your best bet is to ask them outright before you commit. Once you sign up, you'll lose money if you cancel, but if you find out for definite beforehand, you'll have piece of mind.

No - I just insured with Admiral - no tracker needed, no alarm needed, even said that an immobiliser was asked for but if you did not have one they would still cover me all the same?!?!

EHhh?!? Elephant the same BTW.

I've just renewed with Elephant (same company really) and they didn't want a tracker, or an alarm on the car, and the premium was really good as well.

When i renewed with Elephant i did phone them up and confirm a couple of times that I didn't need the tracker.
