What Ray hasn't told you is that his exact words were "Hi, I'm 23, and I want you to quote me happy!". He hasn't got round to telling them what make and model of car he's got yet...

Its a brilliant quote - snap their hands off if you've double checked everything. Still sounds too good to be true - Tescos were a lot dearer than that for me - 36 with 9 years NCB?

Look at it this way Ray, much better to find out now than further down the line. Unfortunately things that sound too good to be true usually are, and the last thing you'd want would be for the policy document to turn up and you find you're insured on an Impreza 2.0GL or something...

I'm 26 with full no claims and Norwich Union wanted around £1400 to ensure my UK Turbo. I went with Tesco in the end for about £1200. The car already had a tracker so the cost of getting one wasn't an issue.

If that quote is correct then bite their hand off :-)

I received a very good quote from Norwich Union on my STi UK, but didn't take it cos the excess was a joke i.e more than the insurance itself!!

Ah yes, 3k+ please
Of course they must have wanted my business and i only have 9+years full ncb, only 35years old, so im sticking with the decent insurance co that im with now (they only want 1087 fully comp, protected on a Spec C )

Ray li,

Have you tried Admiral? I couldn't get a quote from anyone except them through their website for my 99 model Turbo. I'm 23 years old. Got a quote at £715.

NU Direct are a complete waste of time, I should know, I used to work for them in the car insurance department!!

please be aware that admiral car insurance is utter pants, i had 2 years of stress and frustration due to their crap legal cover and general bad service.

even if your next quote is £200 more i urge you to pay the extra, get a real insurance company to sort you out.

admiral = assclowns

I'm with admiral, went with them cause they were so much cheaper compared to other insurance companies.

Some one hit my car 2 weeks ago, nothing bad but front wing and bumper needs to be sorted. Rang up admiral and they were rubbish. Told me to sort it out myself with the other insurance group. Which I am doing and seems to be much easier!
