Simb.

Cheers fella.

Tesco online quote of £852; no where on line to mention 18" wheels though!

You have to call them if your car is modded, so you may lose the online discount

Tesco quoted £1850 for a MY2003 Legacy GTB E-Tune at the weekend
Could by 2 or 3 cheap shopping trollys and insure them for the same amount.

S@m,

That's not the Prodrive GTB that you're considering is it?

Tentenths,

I was considering it but keep putting off ringing up to get more details and then I got the insurance quote plus it seems to good a buy to be straight.
Do you think its an ex Prodrive rep mobile, the phone number has the same area code as the main Prodrive works.

Mark.

Sorry for the hijack Terminator X.

Cal.

Tried NU - they attempted to "quote me happy" at £1500 with a £220 excess!

Group 20 .... mmmmm, just as well that they go no higher than 20!

X.

PS

Best so far is Admiral at £857 and £350 excess but they won't cover the 18" wheels ie my risk if they get nicked (will only replace them with the standard alloys)! Note to all you tea leafs, you don't know where I live! May just stay with LV at £900ish and £500 excess though.

S@m,

Did you try LV and/or Elephant - they both gave me reasonable(ish) quotes for a GTB.

I must admit that I too thought the Prodrive GTB seemed too good to be true - but never got round to ringing them to find out more.

I did read somewhere that Prodrive's JDMs are actually imported by International Motors, and that they may therefore have a decent warranty - where this was I can't remember, and it may not even be true!

All.

Best now is Elephant.co.uk - £793 and £350 excess.

Sorted!
