2nd Car Insurance Renewal Time
Hi All,
A couple of questions to see if my renewal is excessive or not.
Its for my 2005 STI which is modified, not extensively and is used and insured as a second car on a 4000 mile a year policy.
just had my renewal through this morning for £915 from A-Plan.
Ordinarily for years I have stuck with A-Plan because of their great service and I could never beat them on price... until last year with Leon which I managed to chop over £350 off the renewal price with the AA.
Now speaking with a colleague who has a heavily modified Cossie for which he pays £350 a year
And I know Postcode comes into account etc..
I am 39, Full clean license, 9+ years NCB on my Leon so nothing really against me
Was wondering what people pay for the Scoob as a second car ??

I'm with Aviva multicar - bmw 120d msport 10k miles per year, heavily modified hawk 5k per year both with business use, full no claims, 3 points and costs £725. I used their divers app for 200 miles - drove very carefully for a week, when completed it gave a score and i got 20% off. Happy days!

the renewal states 9+ years NCB which is on my main car (The Leon FR) so I guess I have got mirrored NCB.
Generally my postcode has never been excesive, didn't pay that much on a heavily modified WRX when new in 2005 to 2009, then the Cupra K1, both daily drives, 15k miles per year with business use.
£400 for the Leon currently.
Got a quote for a £42k A45 AMG today, daily drive 15k miles etc... Only from a comparison site but that was £718!!!
That's what makes me think surely the scoob is expensive in comparison ??

will begin to shop around then

Hi Dan,
I did try an internet quote but it seemed like the mods section was very vague, Is there a particular number or specialist I should contact for a Subaru quote ??
Regards
Mark.

If you'd like to PM me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back. We should be able to accommodate any modifications.
Regards,
Dan.
