I have brought a jvc kd-avx1 headunit , it did not come with the 16 plug iso lead so i have brought one but it does not have the handbrake wire on it. Does anybody no which of the 16 pins is for this wire. Thanks

Did you get the manual, im sure the handbrake wire is separate to the plug and should be labelled? I think I still have the manual here, and I just connected the handbrake wire to the chassis.

When you find out which one it is the easiest way to ground it is to wire it to the earth on the same harness, You only need 3 to 4" of wire and it keeps it all tidy rather than running wires everywhere

I am sure the handbrake wire is in the 16 pin . There is a iso on ebay and it says it cones with the handbrake wire .Just don't won't to buy another iso when i already have one less the handbrake wire.
I downloaded the fitting manual and it shows the handbrake wire light green coming off the main iso lead, but can not make out which pin its coming off.

It turns out I don't have the manual at all. Sorry, I seem to throw things away before their time.

Never mind, thanks anyway. Think i will fit it tomorrow with this iso lead to make sure it works, then if all ok i will buy the other iso with the handbrake wire.
Do you no if the handbrake wire has to be connected if you was to run a rear screen off the av1 in input. Thanks

It needs to be earthed, which is why I ran it to the head unit chassis. Easy peasy.

Many thanks for all your help, iso with handbrake wire came today. I wired it to the black earth wire on the iso lead, all works fine now.
Now just got to work out about putting monitors in the back for the kids, being bucket seats i need a think.
