Question

Hi,

Few questions I'm afraid.

Is it possible to have a CD player with a M/D changer and do they have to be the same make?

It's just my dad likes the look of the JVC KDLX-110R, but would still like to have the M/D aspect too, because they're obviously small and reasonably durable. Also, it would make sense to get M/D as when he buys a new home hi-fi he will be looking for one with M/D.

It would, I guess, make sense to buy a M/D headunit and a M/D changer, but we like the looks of the JVC, but would like the convenience of M/D.

If it is not possible, is there anyway around the problem? Do you know whether JVC are likely to have this design but in M/D format?

Finally do you know what JVC's reliability is like, as we have a JVC video recorder and it is, shall we say, temperamental . I don't suppose you know whether their car audio products are any better?

Thanks in advance

Cheers,
Tom

Cool

Hey Tom,

You can indeed have a CD head unit and an MD changer, but I don't think all manufacturers make an MD changer(JVC being one). When it comes to fitting a changer, you will have to stick to same brand as the head unit as they are not usually cross compatable between brands.
