Default bit of help

I've got some alpine type r 6.5" components that i had in my old car i would like to fit these to my 98 wagon will they fit as i can seem to find adaptors for them

u can get 6.5 adaptors from the states

is the states the only place you can get them have i read somewhere you can use corsa ones ??

Supposedly Corsa C ones fit, but iirc you may still have to drill.

But why take the lazy way out? Make some yourself out of mdf, then you can be sure they fit

How think does the mdf have to be pal ?

As deep as you need to ensure that the magnets clear the window when it comes down - I have some lightweight alpine components that aren't very deep and used 12mm MDF
