I think it depends upon your rate of insertion Oi - no!

Pros:
Better dock design (d sub connector on rear of drive for wired remote that needs no unplugging, vs mini-idc connector on top of drive that needs unplugging)
USB (IIRC)
Home bay available and cheaper (£99 vs £149)

Cons:
£65

As the owner of an as yet uninstalled v1 and home bay, this got me thinking about the benefits of buying a v2 unit with home bay and waiting until 6thplanet stockout again and v1 owners are **gagging** to source home bays (a la empeg tuner price). However, I came to the conslusion that the v1 does the job more than adequately, the home bay meets my needs and the stuff's probably disposable after three years anyhow.

I reckon that attempts to retail mStations @ £400+ will fail really soon now with all this bankrupt stock about. Talk about tainting a product launch! The market's found its price level @ ~£200. If only someone could offer a similar product to the mStation or empeg at the right price *with* support....... (tbc)

for those interested in a v2 with a home bay, check out item number 1330580846 on eBay. Nothing to do with me, just being helpful. It's currently sitting @ £285 with 3 days to go.

Cheers

Lee.

As well as the insertion thing the version 2 has a back light remote unit (which does not plug in the top anymore. Having the version one I wish that it was back lit because at night it can be difficult to "pilate"

Talking

What do you mean Fizz? Do you mean that the dash mounted cabled remote on Version 1 is not backlit? or are you talking about the separate infra red remote?
I havent fitted mine yet but a party is interested in purchasing my Ver 1 so I could then buy a Ver 2

Beastie - Its the wired remote. The buttons are backlit so you dont have to count up, down, left, right, play, on\off when feeling for the right button.
