Default soundproofing

Hi all,

looking to soundproof my car as fitting subs and amps in, was wondering how much i'd be looking at spending and roughly how many sheets i'd need.

thanks.

I've just completed a fairly large instal, using 'noise killer' you will find them if you google the name. They do kits for most cars wheel well ect and a thick mat for the floor of the boot. They also sell sheets approx 2m square per sheet.

I had some left over dynamat extreme and a few other bits and bobs. Got 2 sheets of noise killer enough with a bit left over.

The noise killer is much more flexible than Dynamat.

I bought some dynamat extreme today from Sextons and for £50 i got a kit that does 2 doors it comes in 4 big sheets. This what i managed to cover with just 2 of them

so id guess you would be looking at at least £100 to do the 4 doors and probably another £50 for the boot

The improvement is night and day (bit cliche i know) the soundproofing makes so much difference,no rattles at all which is nice but the focals are only being powered by the headunit at the moment but a big ICE install is commencing on Monday
