Default BUYING A HEADUNIT FROM THE US

Thinking of buying a headunit from the states as nearly half the price of what it costs in the UK.

Quick question.. As the radio band frequency is different here from the US, would I be able to buy a radio band expander (as I did on my Jap import) and this would sort the radio stations?

Cheers

No RDS functions either. Probably no warranty either. Is it worth it after import duty, shipping, VAT and what not?

i put an american spec pioneer in my 94import and i didnt have any problems getting radio reception. i would have taken it back to the bx to get my 140 dollars back if there was no reception.
