Default max watt on battery

whats the max watt or how many pieces of ice can you run off standard battery and alternator ?

and whats the next steps for more

bigger alt ?
second sealed battery ?

It depends on the current draw of the amplifier and the output of the alternator. There is a way of calculating the available amount but i've forgotten!!! (i'll see if I can find out).

If you overload it then the lights start dimming on low bass notes and the volume drops, along with the risk of current drops cutting your amplifiers out.

My suggestion - second battery (sealed), powercap (1.5farad should be more than enough except your going silly) and a split charge system.

Currently running four amps @ nearly 2,500 RMS and a PS2.

No probs starting or with dancing "strobe" light effects when loud.
