One question is, how do you access the tail light to change the bulbs if you box in the side?
I want to do this in my classic but know as soon as I do, a bulb will blow or summat.

Because it is molded to the boot, once pushed in place, it doesnt move. Since i installed it, no matter how i have driven, this thing wont budge!
Also, you seen the pics of mine? The boot hinge once shut sits in the groove on top, also securing the box when the boot is shut.
You could use a metal bracket, but i never felt the need.
Not cheap to make though mate, probably cost you £60-£70 of materials, if bought in bulk, hundreds if you use the small halfords packs!, pluscost of carpet, and about 3 days work. At £70 mines a giveaway!

I've got one of the Auto Acoustics stealthboxz.
Good quality box and fits perfectly. Very snug and have had no movement at all, even with very spirited driving!
I was going to get one for the offside to mount an amp, but due to the water tank in the STi I was unable to get one.
10% discount for SIDC members too

i'm still in the process of making mine. shape is formed but no speaker or terminal connections yet. i'm also adding a 12v socket so i can connect solar panel on the rear shelf for charging when the car is standing for a week or more (dead battery on return from holiday is a real pain in the @rse!)
