Question Infinity Kappa vs Reference

Hi all,

Just about to purchase some speakers for my MY06. I had 6010cs's in the front of my old car and I was happy with them.

This time I have brought some adapters from the USA and and i'm looking at either the Reference 6510cs or Kappa 67.5.

Firstly does anyone know the difference between the Kappa and the Reference (apart from the price)

Secondly, the 65xx and the 67.5 seem to have vanished from the Infinity web site, have they stopped making them?

Cheers
Gareth

Yes, Thats where I got my adapters, very pleased. Not fitted anything yet, but i'm looking at the 6510 also for the front. The rear 5012i are a bit too big for the cutout, so i'm looking elsewhere for them.

I'm in Kent BTW.

The Reference series is lower specced than the Kappa (Kappa will have better response and higher power handling but is usually a deeper depth). What the sound difference is, I couldn't tell you.

I have the 5012is and they fit fine with no problems with the IAperformace adapters. I think Colzo has fitted these also

Interesting. I have a email from them yesterday saying that they wouldn't fit. But if you say they do, they the proof is in the fitting.

You should have 6 rings from IAP. 4 for the front and 2 for the rear.

I am tacking the door cards off at the weekend as i have a few squeaks where i have not fitted them properly will take a few photos.
