I'm very interested in buying mark morris's speakers from the private section, could someone just confirm they are ok and they fit?

(inlike the mb quartzs mids and fronts i got that had to chop about and fit a spacer too).

they are unused, 2 years old and in original boxes etc.

I fitted some infinity 6*9's 693's to my rb5 the other week. You have to offer them up from below (after removing standard crappy speakers from top)then drill new holes to line up with the holes in the speakers. it's not ideal, but then I had the speakers already. Other wise I would have gone for some 6 1/2" & a subwoofer I think these fit in much better.

Yep they will fit but it's a bit of hassle - you could drill the parcel shelf as per the above post, or make a mounting template / spacer from mdf as I did (my00 4dr) so the speakers fit flush against something solid, but this takes a while to get the shape just right!. I have RS6903s (same size/shape/holes etc as Kappas) - I had them kicking about already though which is why I didn't mind the afternoon it took me to get them in.

Just fitted 693-1i, they are 6x9 and it took about an hour, would have been quicker with another pair of hands.
Mine had a plastic spacer about 20mm deep. I offered them from below, drilled the holes and used m5 bolts to retain them.
I stuck "Brown Bread" sound deadening inbetween the speaker spacer and the shelf to stop vibration and seal the area.
The sound is much better than the 6.5 I took out.
