Thanks to everyone who has given me advice over the past few months. I have now had my new system fitted (Alpine 1505R Commander, Alpine S614 changer, 6.5" Infinity Kappa components front & 6.5" Infinity Kappa coaxial rears). I had it installed by a pro, but privately in his garage - he was VERY carefull. :-)

He put the changer under the parcel shelf in the boot. The Alpine changer is very small & isn't in the way. Also, I've only had one skip which was in a very quickly taken 90° right & 90° left chicane!
To my home hifi taste, the speakers are a little too "splashy" on some CD's but the system sounds good on "Talk on Corners". It's slightly light on bass, but the big advantage to me is that the speakers appear to be OEM to the casual thief.

Which graphic/BBE setting do you use? (I realise that your system is a little more enthusiastic...!
