Does anyone here know the mounting depth for the speakers that have fit?
The alpines are as follow:
"The Alpine woofer has an outside diameter of 6.5" and a mounting diameter of 5.75", making it fit standard holes perfectly. Its depth of 2.75"
What are the standard speaker size?

i told my installer my top 5 speakers for the scoob and he said any would fit but go for the kenwwod psr17(i think) components, with tweeters and crossovers.
the alpine was my 2nd choice so they shout fit
think he had to drill 1 hole for the corsa kit to fit 100% though

unless the baskets are very slim line (e.g. like the Kenwood Dual Mags) then im pretty sure your goin to need spacer of some sort.
i have Boston Pro 6.5s in mine, buthey are huge! had to space em out by around 20mil to make them fit!

mine are 17cm and fit perfect in the corsa kit
i didnt go for the impreza 1's cuz they were twice the price and just the same as the corsa 1's
see,you pay for the car not the equipment .

Any part nos/links for the Corsa kit? Sounds interesting.
Also - when the speakers are spaced out, what happens to the grill in the door panel; is it pushed forwards or is there enough room behind it? I'm confused...

Depth for the speakers can not be any more than 2.5" if so you will need to make MDF spacer to compensate for the difference.
So if your alpines are 2.75" you need to have a spacer of a minimum of 0.25".
All you need is MDF and a jigsaw.
