Boxes

2 of em, they read BMBoschmann(TM) Balanced configuration impedance-compensated crossover network.

There's only one set of wires coming out though, and I thought the whole point of a crossover was it split the signal low/high, or low/mid/high etc..

Just for curiousity more than anything else, but does anyone have any idea what they might do?

Is it possible they are being used as a high pass filter to the front speakers if you have a sub setup?

What else is in your setup? Amps? Subs?

I've no idea what it was previously, but when I bought it it had some crappy kenwood jap tape deck, standard (I presume) door speakers which never seemed to work properly and Add zest 6x9 things in the parcel shelf. All I've done to the above is fit a cheapy mp3 head unit in place of the old one.

Annoyingly, I'm getting a high pitched whine though from all speakers now, it's only auidiable when you're at the start or end of tracks (ie, silence on the disc) though if you turn the volume to zero, it stops (I guess the output it just totally cut).

Is this an earthing prob or something? The center console cage is earthed but I could always ground the HU itself?
