Question

Hi there!

Would very much appreciate some tips / advice.

Getting a MY00 next month Originally ordered a Subaru's own head unit / CD changer for £300ish. Looked through this BB - realised not such a good idea. Now looking for alternative makes & suppliers. Could you please share your views / experience on:

- what brand is the best for good (nothing fancy) quality sound in the 200-300 range? or are they all more or less the same?

- what price is "right" for a good head unit with CD changer? is £200-300 realistic?

- where to fit and how much to pay? local shop (Chiswick area) quoted £60 if they fit, but also mentioned that it's possible to negotiate with the dealer to fit for free (?)

Many thanks in advance! Any info is much appreciated!!!
