MP3 Software
#1
Can any of you guys / girls help me.
I have just bought an Alpine MP3 head unit (CDA7894RB) & changer (CHAS634).
What software to you good folks use to copy CD's to MP3, and where can I get a copy.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks
Darren

http://www.poikosoft.com/easycdda.html is my choice.
Uses FreeDB so will automatically name all the tracks for you.

I use CDex (personal fave), but have also tried Exact Audio Copy.
Both are free and use FreeDB/CDDB to automatically name the tracks, album name, artist, etc..
On my AMD XP2000+ PC with a Lite-on 48x CD-Writer it takes around 15secs average to copy a 4-5min track to MP3. That's at 320Kpbs VBR set to the highest quality, so if I just burned it at 128Kbps, it'd be quicker.
