Default Slow fuel guage

Alright chaps I put some fuel in my car today it was on quarter and I put 30 quids worth of super in and drove off and noticed my fuel guage hadn't moved I was gonna turn round as I thought I had been ripped off lol but then noticed it was slowly moving up usually it goes up straight up after filling so there is obviously a fault some where any ideas ?? It's a 2006 sti hawk

Cheers

Mine (bugeye) goes up slowly , but the other week I filled up fully from empty and it seemed to get stuck half way. Then a day or two later it had jumped up to where it should have been. I put it down to the fact I usually only ever fill to half way (ish) and assume it was a bit sticky there.

Another thing
It has always gone up slowly (about a minutes driving)it's the sticking on the way back down and then the sudden jump to below quarter of a tank that's a worry but as said it's normally fine

Will keep an eye on it see how it is the car hardly gets used could it be battery related as I've noticed recently the car seems to turn over a lot slower than my bug used to but is that normal for the 2.5 to turn over slower than the 2.0

Is there any way of making the gauge read faster because waiting a good 5 mins for the gauge to sit where it needs to is a little boring?

I've had my gauge get stuck going up before so it only showed half a tank, it did it twice in a row and has been fine ever since.. 2005 blob sti
