Price for full service?
Iv had my scoob a few month now (v5 type r) and I'm wanting to do a full service for piece of mind. How much am I looking at paying? Gearbox oil, engine oil, new plugs, new oil filter, breaks bled? I had a cupra r before this one and servicing was pretty easy to do yourself but I don't no enough on these yet so il let a specialist do it. Cheers

All straight forward ****, there is nothing difficult in servicing the car. Worst bit people will say is getting to the plugs but with the right tools it's a bit of pìss.
You will want
Decent engine oil at circa £50/£60ish (some do cost more)
Rear diff oil £20
Gearbox oil £40/50 iirc
Plugs pfrb7 plugs £35ish
Decent panel filter £30/£50
Fuel filter £10ish
Oil filter - my choice would be original Subaru black one if you can find them, have heard some bad stories about cheap ones not sealing and leaking, prices for these can vary from £3 up to £35 maybe more from what I've seen.
Cabin filter circa £15
Would also recommend changing the brake fluid as well rather than just bleeding it if not been done for a while, makes the pedal feel better under your foot and get less fade with decent disc and pad combo.
There are traders on here to source it all through such as:- As performance or Aztec performance scoobyclinic etc.
Online I would use import carparts one of the cheapest I've found.

Cheers matey big help there.
Iv heard the plugs are difficult to get to aswell.
I won't need a panel filter coz iv got an mesh cone one.
And we're is the rear diff oil? How do I drain it?
Il be getting new brake fluid for the brakes, and I'm not that confident on bleeding the brakes, maybe I could get that done of somebody who knows how.
I can tackle the oil changes and il have a go at the plugs, the oil filter is ment to be **** to get to aswell? And so is the fuel filter??

You could probably go further with diff oil/gearbox oil than you would your engine oil, for example I stick to the sticker on my door and get the engine oil changed every six months regardless of mileage, whereas diff oil/gearbox is more like yearly, some might say this is overkill, however over servicing on an older car can never really be a bad thing.

Just asking because when I bought the car the engine and gearbox oil had been done, not sure about the diff oil though, that was in August and it's not been driven for 3 months so it's due atleast an engine oil, oil filter and plug change.
Not sure when the fuel filter was last done. How often should they be changed?

I am doing mine every 3000 miles or two months as it's working out now :S
Not too sure what the normal service interval is as this is my first Impreza i just carried over my service intervals from my Lexus drift car
I forgot my price of service £175 a time

Yeah im in the process of tuning my car so might aswell change spark plugs every time so i can keep a good gauge on how its burning the fuel and gear and diff oil might as well not doing any harm better to know that it is done i think anyway....
Whats the best service interval in you opinion?

Can't do any harm I suppose, just seems expensive, I'm a tight **** though.
I do 6 monthly oil and filter change. 12 monthly air and cabin filter change, and spark plug and fuel filter every two years.
Oh and diff & gear oil 12 monthly.
Oh and the offside front dipped beam every 6 months... Frikin thing !
