Tracker location (running battery flat me thinks)
Hello everyone,
i have a 2003 blob STI that has a RAC trackstar fitted as standard, after doing a bit or research anf having bought a new battery and still having problems i though i would try disconnecting the tracker.
I don't have a trackstar subscription (as my insurance company wanted another £200 if i had a tracker active)
I have some minimum documentation and i read somewhere on here a guy said if i have the location code he could tell me where it is, but i see not location code on the documentation...
I did find this, is this it and if not what the hell is it?
Thanks

Hopefully that fixes my battery problems going flat after only 2 days of not running (new battery)...
Thanks

Just in case you didn't know, your MY car has a so called smart alternator, IIRC.
It only charges when it detects enough of a drain on the battery, ie the sidelights being switched on. Not very smart really if you only do short journeys and such.

Yeah I know, I had just done a 200 mile trip and it was dead less than 48 hours later... Even after a day sitting I could tell the battery was weak, disconnecting the tracker totally fixed this for me.

It's about the size of an envelope and about 2cm depth. It has 3 wires going into it all on one side. Good luck..
