Default Actuator pressure!

I've just fitted a new air filter and full 3"
Decatted system to my ppp blobeye!

Is there anyway to run actuator pressure, just so I'm safe before I get he map done (after Christmas)

Or does it only really matter when you floor it high up the rpm?

Pull the vac pipe off the waste gate actuator & blank the pipe. Or if you have a boost gauge keep an eye on it & don't boost it above zero.

you need to connect compressor cover to actuator direct..

Yes as simon says loop abit of vac line from compressor cover to actuator.

Is the compressor cover the one with the little nipple coming off it? Basically run it from that to actuator nipple?

like this

then the pressure from the compressor cover will open the wastegate when the actuator spring pressure is exceeded

unfortunately if you pullthe pipe off the wastegate and blank the pipe it will run max boost possible... but watching the boost gauge and driving it like miss daisy is sound advise

Never be too careful, I done the same (looped vac line) for a few weeks until my new turbo was mapped. Not having much boost sucks though lol

All the best

Thanks mate,

Out of interest is there a vac line going to the actuator in general that I need to block off?

no the pipes to acutator and compressor cover go to the boost solenoid so can just be cable tied up out the way for the time being

slightly off topic but relevant, so aplogise for the hijack.....

what i dont get is, when the compressor vac line is connected to the boost solenoid, all sorts of boost levels can be achieved, depending on mods etc, but when the boost solenoid is cut out and compressor to actuator is done, only like, 0.5 bar of boost is achieved, right ?

so, maybe im being blonde, but what does the boost solenoid do to raise the boost level ???

bleeds air off..

in very simple terms, if you disconnect the actuator so it see atmospheric pressure you get the max boost the turbo will do.. if you put compressor pressure to it you see the pressure of the actuator spring...

the ecu adjusts inbetween by pulsing the boost solenoid to bleed air away from the actuator or add more air to it...

Hi guys,

Got round to doing it today, I noticed it was in a T piece so
To make life easier for me.

I noticed it had a joiner piece in it. So I just disconnected it and put and screw in the end.. I'm presuming I leave the other end as it is ?
