Default pipercross inuction kit, replaced with standard box, problems!

as the title says, I removed my induction kit and replaced it with the original airbox and filter, car drives a lot smoother and less agressivly, but will not now tick over! it cuts out at junctions ect... why????

Check all pipes for to and from the idle control valve.

My friend had this problem on his classic was MAF problem. His used to cut out at junctions and at speed was seriously dangerous.

Did you have your car mapped with the induction kit?

Classic mapping issue, imprezas dont react the same as a NA car would to mild tunning . . 9 times out of ten they need a remap

Is the Maf the correct way round?

Never spray anything but air on a MAF, they have a heating element in them, and they burn out when people spray them. If you think it's MAF, try another known good one instead first.
