Default Bleed nipple

I'm going to be bleeding my brakes later on today. I am known for being a little heavy handed and just want to make sure which way I need to turn the nut to open the bleed nipple? Trust me I will shear it off if I get the chance

Done mine the other week bleeding and renewing fresh brake fluid... abit heavy handed like you and heard of people snapping/threading nipples on calipers.. So just took my time and NOT too heavy handed on tightening sorted...

I used about 1 and a half litres but on research some people say one litre be enough to flush?
