Default Turbo questions

Hi,
I've been offered a TD05 20g, but the seller has admitted to a little side to side play in the shaft. He says "this is normal" but I have my doubts obviously.
How much would it cost to get this sorted, and who would you recommend?
Thanks

Front to back you could get a little play but shouldn't be much side to side from what I remember.

Yup, that's what all the questions were about when I sold mine.

You can have a little side to side movement I have had it on a few of my turbos in the past with no issues but we are talking a single mm in terms of movement, any up and down movement just head for the hills and forget about it,and try to find a better condition turbo.SJ.

Thanks Jura, I think for peace of mind I should have it rebuilt. Any recommendations?.

It may end up more expensive than a Kinugawa 20g.
