Default restrictor pills

Hi . had to replace the 3 pipes on the t-piece to the wastegate actuator with silicone tubing.No problem with doing it, but had to rescue the pills from the old split pipes.I was under the impression , from you clever people on here, that there was only one present , but there was two in separate pipes. Just was wondering if anyone could explain this ? car is 2000 turbo uk

it should only have 1x in the pipe that comes from the turbo nose before the T piece........

Agreed, just replaced a few of my wastegate pipes with silicone and that's the only one I found in my pipework, 1997 UK Turbo.

Thanks guys.Kind of surmised that anyway but still doesnt answer why its there or,more to the point, what effect having them both in place would make

Forgot to ask if anyone could give an educated guess , as to what effect removing the extra pill, would make ?

I have one pill in my pipe work too (1997 Turbo 2000).
