Default would big end knock throw on the engine check light?

as above, my bottom end went on the day it was mapped-literally as soon as it was driven off the rollers and the check engine light has been on ever since

No need for a light.
the noise from the engine bay will give it away.

as your changing over to another engine its only wise to map it to be safe especially as your running an sti engine on wrx ecu

then he will remove it, as the fault was likely to be knock sensor it wont be present on the new engine as its not knocking (hopefully)

yes hopefully (fingers crossed) i dropped the car off to pr developments with a box of parts today,should hopefully get it back wednesday all being well
