Default HELP HELP HELP GOING TO CRY!!!

Guys please help i was driving home one night and all of a sudden my impreza cut out and will not start at all, i can hear the fuel pump priming so dont think its that, im baffled , what could cause this , no check engine light either, im close to tears

It also cranks but just wont start up

You need to check basics first,fuel pressure and spark

I'm not sure if the early classics have this but there maybe diagnostic test plugs under the dash drivers side, two green plugs and two black plugs which are plugged together so you can read fault codes.

Bit out there this, but is ecu fully plugged in (mab a plug is partly out ) sounds like fuel starvation .....

Could be spark. if it was driving and cut out then spark. fuel normally splutters a few times before cut out. spark will just die. make sure all HT leads are ok

Thanks guys just bought new crank sensor which was £134 fml, gonna try tomorrow, any other suggestionns

My Forester done this to me a little while ago and the cam sensor connection had come loose, clipped it back on properly and it was fine again.

Check basics of course but how long have you owned it? Cambelt may of broke and it will never start if so.

Just a thought.

don't take it out of the packaging, until exploring those suggestions through.
