Default Tyres

Brought some 17" wheels with 205/40r17 put them on car and the tyres look lost cant I run a bigger side wall like 205/45r17

I ran 215/45/17 on my old classic, looked better than the 215/40/17 that where originally on it. Pics in my gallery of both

You'll probably need your arches rolled to run 215/45/17, I've been running this size for a while now and have knocked **** out of my own arches, this is with pretty hard use though. With daily driving you 'might' get away with it..

205/40/17 is the wrong size for an impreza. Classic is 205/45/17 or 215/40/17.

So 215/45 won't go straight it's only I have 4 nearly new ones but shud be ok with 205/45

215/40/17 are spot on put some on mine on Thursday

Ye it's a classic I don't no wat to put on have people got 215/45 and lowered there's only I can get that size for free

I think 215/45/17 will fit, but not 100% certain, especially if the cars lowered. The 2 sizes I mentioned are the proper size for a classic.

No worries, though you'll find that 215/40/17s will be cheaper as there is more choice of tyre than 205/45/17.
