Default Wrx centre section

Hi all
I'm think of fitting a straight thru centre section exhaust to my 2005 blobeye wrx!
Can anyone tell me if I need a centre section with a sensor hole or without one?
Thanks

Hi mate

Did this to our 06 Hawk WRX, ninety percent sure it didn't have one, the one we bought was just the pipe, nothing came with it being second hand, the garage just swapped it.

Not sure whether the Blob is different, I imagine all New Age are the same as the pipe fitted perfect and came off a Blob

Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply!
When you fitted you centre did it make much difference to noise compared to standard section?
Cheers

im pretty sure theres only a sensor on the cat on the downpipe and on the uppipe on a wrx, it wont make too much difference to the noise,as the wrx has 3 cats, centre section and backbox, youll notice a difference

Recently bought my scoob and it has a stainless steel backbox (no idea what make it is), the rest of the exhaust is standard! I was hoping to make it a bit more noisy when driving, don't want to upset the neighbours though when warming it up in the morning. Any ideas?.

Massive difference, ours is PPP and had the Prodrive Stainless cat back, changing the centre section to a Japspeed improved the burble by around 50%, it's still got the Prodrive back box so it's its noisy and deep enough without sounding like a screaming Saxo (apologies Saxo owners) it's not been remapped either, run fine for about 8 months now. A remap is recommended after any exhaust work though, so I've read

Changing the centre section for a deresonated straight through pipe will almost definitely give you more burble and a 25-50% increase in noise, did with ours anyways :-)

Ours was off eBay, he was local though, Japspeed our reputable and quality, is it the GB/GD (or something like that) ones your looking at, shiny chrome, about £80? There are quite a few for sale, if your on Facebook, join North Wales & Chester Scooby Club and from there, there are loads of for sale Facebook Pages I'm sure you'll find one local to yourself, Japspeed was £50 second hand, well worth it, £120 new I think
